A small workshop building tools, protocols, and systems for thinking with machines.
From Latin artificium — craftsmanship. A machine that makes things with skill.
The workshop
Artifice Machine is where the work lives. Projects, protocols, findings, and records from an ongoing effort to understand what it means to build with AI — not as a user, but as a maker.
The workshop is small by design. Every project here exists for a reason: to test an idea, solve a real problem, or leave behind a better tool than the one that existed before.
Nothing here is anonymous. The work is signed. The failures are recorded. The decisions are documented. The record exists so the work stays honest.
The operator
Artifice Machine is run by @newblacc — a software developer and independent builder with a background in infrastructure, AI engineering, blockchain systems, and security.
The split between the workshop and the person is deliberate. The workshop publishes the work. The person takes responsibility for it. Both are visible here. Neither is confused for the other.
Personal writing and experiments that do not belong to the workshop live under @newblacc directly.
Charter
Build the harness, not just the model. Keep the workshop small enough to understand. Sign the work. Record the failures. Make tools that outlast the moment that produced them.
The full foundry charter and governance constitution are published in the artificemachine/artifice-machine repository.
